Studio Policies
Safety
Parents/Drivers should plan to drop-off and pick-up children on time.
Cars must be parked on PAA property. The width of our building to the back of the parking lot.
Please do not park in the other shopping malls parking spots.
Please do not leave anyone, especially children, unattended in the waiting rooms. Children who are not in the classroom should be with a parent.
No one is allowed in any studio without a teacher present, without the permission of a faculty member.
Attendance
Students should arrive on time and be prepared for classes.
Students should attend class on a regular basis for continued growth in their dance technique.
Please call the studio to notify us if your child will not be attending class that day.
Students must have the proper dance and acrobatic attire to participate in their classes.
NO CREDITS OR REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR MISSED CLASSES. Students may make-up any missed classes in another class.
Make-Up Sessions
Any sessions missed due to illness or inclement weather can be made up. Please call the studio and our office staff will help you find a make-up class.
In general, missed sessions will be made up in a same level. If not possible your teacher will let you know which class is the best fit. Classes do not have to be made up in the same style of dance.
Dress Code
Pre-school classes: Any colored leotard and tights. Girls will need pink ballet shoes with elastics and ties tucked in or cut off and black tap shoes. Tap shoes should have elastics not ties. Male students will need black ballet shoes and black tap shoes.
Ballet Class: Any color leotard and pink tights and pink ballet shoes.
Jazz Class: Any colored leotard and tights. Tan Gore Boots.
Lyrical Class: Any colored leotard and tights. Tan Gore Boots
Modern Class: Any colored leotard and tights. Bare Feet. No shoes required.
Tap Class: Any colored leotard and tights. Black paten leather tap shoes for Pre-K 1 through B/T 2. B/T 3 and up should have the buckle Mary-Jane shoe.
Hip Hop: Gym clothing. Tan Gore boots.
Acro: Any colored leotard and tights. Bare Feet. No shoes required.
ALL STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE THEIR HAIR PULLED BACK AND SECURED FROM FALLING IN THEIR FACE FOR ALL CLASSES! Starting at Ballet/Tap 3 girls should have their hair in a bun for class.
Personal Belongings
Please mark names on all shoes, dance bags, and other personal items.
PAA is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
We do have a lost and found. It is located in the girls lounge.
Miscellaneous
No food, drinks or gum chewing allowed in studios.
No street shoes are to be worn in the dance rooms.
All Company members should have their dance bags placed in the girls lounge at all times. Dance bags should not be left out in waiting room areas.
