PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY

Jasmine Calhoun is the mother of two beautiful girls and a long time employee at the Performing Arts Academy. She grew up in Teaneck, NJ and graduated from High School in Ashburnham, Mass through a small private school called Cushing. After graduating from high school, Jasmine moved to Ohio where she later graduated from Wittenberg University, with a major in elementary education and a minor is dance. Jasmine has always loved both children and the art of dance. Jasmine started dancing at the age of four, she assisted her teachers at the age of 10 and was teaching at the Y in Massachusetts and Ohio through her school years. Jasmine also thoroughly enjoys the sport of gymnastics, and started teaching at ENA in 1998. She worked there for four years, and then switched gyms to teach at Gymnastika, for one year. Although She loved coaching gymnastics, she decided to pursue her love of dance and started her career at PAA. September marks the beginning of her 6^th year at PAA, and she is as happy there now, as she was in 2003! Jasmine is PAA's Pre-School and Summer Camp Director. Her classes are always in high demand and each and everyone of her students love her!! Jasmine is looking forward to another fun filled year and can't wait to SEE YOU ALL IN SEPTEMBER!
