Christina was born in Bogota, Columbia and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Christina has been dancing for 22 years and plans to dance for 100 more. Growing up doing competitions and teaching since she was 16, Christina wanted to make her passion for dance a career. In 2005 she graduated St. Francis College in NYC with a B.A. degree in Speech and Theatre.
Since then she has performed with Shakira as a back-up dancer at the 2006 MTV Music Awards and also toured with Shakira in select cities including New York City at Madison Square Garden. Christina danced in an opening act performance for Alicia Keys and has traveled to Germany to compete for the USA Dance Team.
Christina has danced off Broadway for two years with the Deca Dance Company and has been in music videos and commercials including Darrin?s Dance Grooves II, Joan Jet and Cadillac. Christina is now performing with the ICON Dance Company in numerous charity events and fashion shows. This past year she worked with Geo Hubela as an animation reference for an upcoming French animated feature film called "Popsecret". Being a Member of the ICON Dance Company has also given her a chance to dance for great causes like Dancers Responding to Aids and Breast Cancer Awareness.
